The city of Calgary received its first snowfall of many this year as it turned much of the area into a winter wonderland.

While some were happy to see the big mountains of snow, others weren’t so lucky as flights were delayed or canceled around the Prairies. Calgary’s forecast calls for snow on and off through the entire week.

B.C. didn’t entirely evade the snow as Golden, the town just after Roger’s Pass,  received a heavy downpour. More snow is expected to fall in Roger's Pass overnight but conditions are still okay. The Coquihalla has also seen snow but is still safe to drive.

Shown below are some of the snowiest photos from the Calgary and Golden snowfalls.
