BC Wildfire Service reported that on Wednesday morning there were over 300 fires burning in British Columbia.
In the Kamloops Fire Centre alone, over 30 had sparked over a 24-hour period.
Residents were quick to snap photos of the columns of smoke ascending from the visible fires, the red and orange flare emitted from active blazes or firefighters actioning the wildfires throughout the day.
