  • PHOTOS: Amazing shots of the 545-hectare Shuswap Road wildfire

    The BC Wildfire Service has been working hard battling the blaze near Shuswap Road on the east end of Kamloops.

    The wildfire is burning close to the community, giving the public a good look at the action as fire crews do their job.

    Here’s a look at some of the amazing captures that have come out of it so far.

    As of today, the fire is estimated to be 545 hectares in size. 112 personnel continue cooling perimeter hotspots today in an effort to increase containment of the fire. There are also two helicopters and four water tenders responding to the fire today.
