The annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is in full swing!

This nine-day event, which started on Oct. 6, attracts people from all over the world to celebrate the art of ballooning.

Crowds of people gather at the Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque New Mexico to take in the beautiful sites and, of course, snap some awesome pics! 

Since its modest beginnings in 1972, the festival has expanded to become a multi-event extravaganza host to over 600 balloons.

This is the largest and most photographed ballooning event on Earth and it’s easy to see why.

From the colourful to the unique, this fiesta has everything.
