Pathways Abilities Society asked for donations and you delivered. 

In a pivot to be COVID-19 compliant, they asked for your assistance to help people with diverse abilities keep their jobs and the community showed up… big time! 

When Pathways announced on KelownaNow that they had placed a quick pit stop bottle donation station behind the Columbia Bottle Depot on Kent Road, they received an outpouring of community support on social media and an overwhelming amount of donations. 

In fact, Pathways received so many donations that Secure-Rite, a local mobile storage company, offered to donate containers. Unfortunately, there was no land to place the mobile storage container near the donation station so Pathways had no choice but to decline this generous offer.

But just because this overwhelming amount of donations happened once doesn’t mean that we should stop. So we ask that you make donating a habit — even just a portion of your return.

Anything you can give helps Pathways Abilities Society towards creating a customized career for a person with diverse abilities in our community.

Going forward, let’s keep this good behaviour going by donating your bottles, cans or recyclables in a bin outside the Columbia Bottle Depot at 1936 Kent Road. Place your generous donation in the bin located at the rear corner of the building on Brendin Road.
