Snow continues to fall on the Coquihalla Highway after building up overnight.

According to Environment Canada, around 20 centimetres has fallen on the route over the past 24 hours and another 2-4 cm is expected this morning.

“An unstable air mass continues to produce heavy flurries over parts of the southern highway passes this morning,” says an Environment Canada alert. 

“The flurries will ease this morning as a ridge of high pressure develops over the province.”

Coquihalla webcams show that the snow is still falling at a significant rate and can negatively affect visibility. 

It doesn’t appear that the snow is still falling on other major routes betwen the Lower Mainland and Interior, like the Okanagan Connector, Hwy 3 or Hwy 1, but there’s still snow on the roads.
