Prince George better thank the volunteers for Operation Red Nose as, without them, many wouldn't have gotten to their destinations this year… 

According to ORN, during 2019, over 200 volunteers delivered 905 safe rides to PG party-goers. That number made this year's service one of the busiest in recent history. 

New Year's Eve proved to be a busy one for ORN as 90 volunteers, which made up 24 road teams, delivered 141 safe rides home.

“We were happy with how the night unfolded, even though we experienced some technical issues with our phone lines,” said Andrea Johnson, Operation Red Nose spokesperson. “We apologize to those who couldn’t get through, and those who did get through to us our teams picked them up and delivered them home in a timely fashion."

Despite the big year, 2019 still saw fewer rides delivered than in 2018. The previous year had 959 guests safely transported to their locations. Both 2016 and 2017 saw fewer rides than this campaign with 872 and 838 respectively.

For the whole country, ORN offered 5,399 rides by 3,031 volunteers across 100 different communities.
