For the second time in less than 48 hours, the Oliver RCMP responded to a shooting on Monday night.

They were called to the 5500 block of Yarrow Street around 5:50 pm for reports of a disturbance between two men.
 

During the altercation, one of the men was shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A 62-year-old man, the resident of the home, faces firearm charges, while the injured man, a 43-year-old Oliver resident, faces charges of mischief and dangerous driving.

Both men were released from custody and are expected to appear in court on Sept. 16, 2020.

Investigators from both Monday and Saturday’s shooting cases are liaising with each other, but there doesn’t appear to be any relation between the two incidents.
