Wildfire season isn’t too far away, and the Oliver Fire Department were busy fighting a grass fire that broke out yesterday afternoon.
The department responded to a blaze on Island Road, which has now been extinguished.

Fire Chief Bob Graham told NowMedia that the fire started from some brush burning piles that spread to adjacent trees and then to a nearby field.
He added that the fire covered between two and three acres.
