Okanagan Vocal Harmony is inviting the public to attend their open house in May. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear some singing, sing along and meet the members of the chorus at Rutland Activity Centre on May 8 from 7 to 9 pm. 

The Okanagan Vocal Harmony Chorus is a chapter in the Evergreen District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. 

While the tradition in the Barbershop Harmony Society has been to sing all male arrangements, the society dropped those traditional barriers in 2017 with an “Everyone in Harmony” initiative. 

Okanagan Vocal Harmony welcomes anyone who is interested in singing close harmony. 

With a new director and a new executive, the singing group is back in action after the COVID-19 pandemic. 

There are currently 23 members, but they are hoping to reach a performing group of 50 voices.
