  • Now You KNow! – All about Aspire’s Hungry Hungry Half Marathon

The Aspire Hungry, Hungry Half Marathon made it's highly anticipated debut at the AppleBowl on Saturday morning, and it was a race unlike any other.

Sarah Carson, the race director wanted to make a race that truly embraced the words community and fun. Carson and the coordinating team's goal for the race was to combine everything they have loved from each race they have participated in. Aside from being a ton of fun, this race was also in support of a great cause, The Central Okanagan Food Bank.

Local  businesses were set up throughout the race course, supplying not only water but cupcakes and freezies. Music was playing at the checkpoints to boost the runners energy and prizes were also given out after the run.

To stick with the prominent food theme runners dressed up in cuisine inspired costumes. From dressing like the chef to the food itself, participants went all out for the event to show their support.
