Thousands of people flocked to Waterfront Park on Friday morning to celebrate Canada's 149th birthday. With over a hundred activities to enjoy, locals were entertained for hours.
Though festivities weren't set to begin until 10 a.m, by 9:30 the park was already a sea of red and white. The Kelowna City Band kicked off the morning with a powerful and patriotic performance of the national anthem.

Some took their time to browse the hundreds of vendors tables who were selling everything from pottery to fashion and even henna. Others hung out at the beach listening to live music while contemplating which food truck would satisfy an appetite for excellent and unique grub.
