  • No injuries after weekend structure fire on Ogilvie Street

Prince George Fire Rescue had no time to rest this weekend as they were dealing with a structure fire.

According to PGFR, at 5:30 am on Saturday, 15 firefighters responded to the 400 block of Ogilvie Street after hearing of light smoke coming from a building.

Crews quickly knocked down the fire in the entrance of the two-storey complex. They then ventilated smoke from all suites involved.

After checking the suites and finding that no residents were inside, the investigation was turned over to RCMP. No injuries were reported during the blaze, but crews estimate $25,000 in damage was done to the structure.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
