This is some breaking news!

  • New driver busted driving double the speed limit racing to get pizza

A B.C. driver went from hungry to hangry in the Lower Mainland on Monday.

According to Richmond RCMP, a new “N” driver was clocked going over double the speed limit in a 50 km/h zone.

Why the rush? Apparently, the motorist was on a mad dash to get pizza.

The offender may have to order delivery next time because police served them with a seven-day impoundment and a $368 fine.

Lower Mainland Police have made a habit of posting to social media some of the poor driving decisions made by "N" Drivers this year.

In April, Vancouver police impounded a McLaren after its 17-year-old driver was caught speeding 40 km/h over the limit in a playground zone.

Not to be outdone, Ridge Meadows RCMP took to social media after apprehending two 22-year-olds that were clocked travelling at 138 km/h in a marked 80 km/h zone.

Keep it safe out there folks.
