Canada wide medical cannabis consultation company Compass Cannabis Clinics has officially opened its second location in Kelowna.

Located across from Orchard Park Mall, Compass Cannabis Clinics used 420 to announce the opening of its new location and several other locations in Western Canada.

The clinic provides free appointments for patients to connect with doctors and receive prescriptions for access to medicinal cannabis.

There is no actual cannabis at the clinics, instead "Patient Educators" walk potential patients through the process of obtaining medical cannabis, along with sharing information on how to medicate responsibly and preventing overconsumption.

However, the company says the majority of Compass Clinics will convert to dispensary operations once cannabis is legalized later this year.

Suitable patients will be able to arrange medicinal cannabis shipped to their home from licensed cannabis producers.
