After sexual assault allegations became public regarding House of Cards star Kevin Spacey, the future of the Netflix original was unknown.
This morning, however, Netflix confirmed that it has made an arrangement that will allow for the sixth season to proceed without Spacey.

Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp revealed that in 1986, the then 26-year-old Spacey made sexual advances on Rapp, who was 14-years-old at the time.
Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix announced this morning during the 45th Annual Global Media and Communications Conference that he had an update for fans on season six.
He explained that House of Cards will continue without Spacey, instead starring Robin Wright.
“We are really excited about bringing some closure to the show for fans,” said Saranos.
The eight-episode season is set to start production in early 2018. Saranos says they are “excited” for the 370 people who make the show, and are excited that they were able to come to a “creative conclusion” to the show after it was interrupted.
