  • Multi-vehicle incident sends three to hospital in South Okanagan

    UPDATE: The highway has reopened in both directions.

    Original Story:

    A vehicle collision on Highway 3A between Keremeos and Highway 97 has closed the roadway in both directions.

    According to DriveBC, the highway is closed three kilometres east of Keremeos, but an alternate route is available via Highway 97 to Oliver/Osoyoos or Highway 3 from Keremeos to Oliver/Osoyoos. According to the BC Ambulance Service, crews were called to a two vehicle incident at around 12:45 p.m. and responded with critical care paramedics. 

    One person was transported to hospital via air ambulance in critical condition while two other patients were taken to hospital in serious condition by ground ambulance.
