Mudflow leads to travel advisory along Highway 1

A travel advisory has been put in effect due to mudflow activity along Highway 1 near Golden.

Crews and equipment were called Saturday to the Trans Canada Highway, 65 kilometers west of Golden, in Glacier National Park.

DriveBC said recent warm temperatures have increased snow melt, therefore leading to mudflow activity.

Drivers travelling through that area should expect delays of up to one hour.

Those heading along the highway are being advised to check DriveBC for the latest updates.
