(Update: Feb. 21, 2022) Police have confirmed that a missing 28-year-old woman in Nanaimo has been located safely.

The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating 28-year-old Kyneasha Lucas, who has not been seen or heard from since Feb. 20, 2023. 

Around midnight, police were alerted that Lucas may have suffered a serious injury. Police say investigators took steps to locate her, including checking in at the Nanaimo hospital.

“Given that she cannot be located there is significant concern for her safety and well-being,” the RCMP said.

Lucas is an Indigenous woman, 5 ft. 5. 190 lbs, with long brown/blonde hair and brown eyes.
