Police are asking for help from the public identifying two people from CCTV on the night of a commercial break-in last month.

Sometime overnight on Jan. 21, 2023, a business that sells and buys gold and silver, Gold Silver Guy located at 65 Townsite Road, was broken into. 

Investigators have recently received CCTV footage from the business and are attempting to identify two persons of interest. 

The business owner told police he arrived in the morning to find a rear door busted open and interior drywall knocked out allowing for access to the interior. 

Once inside, thieves made their way to a safe and a number of expensive items were taken.

“Investigators are certain the individuals shown in the attached photos have knowledge that can assist in this investigation. These two need to be identified and spoken with,” said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
