Early Saturday 28 teams and over 300 athletes gathered in City Park to participate in the Motionball Marathon of Sport.

The event brings together teams of local business professionals, community members and special Olympians for a jam-packed day of sports-related fun.

From basketball and volleyball to street hockey and human foosball, Motionball had something for everyone to get excited about.

Though the teams competed against one another, there was no hostility, as high fives, team chants and smiles were to be seen from all angles.

As first and foremost a fundraiser for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF), Motionball had already met their 2017 goal before the games had even begun, succeeding over $80,000 to help ensure their athlete's success.
