  • Mother Nature to bring plenty of snow, Arctic air to the Okanagan Valley

Kelowna is in for a snowy weekend according to the forecast.

“Mother Nature will keep the road crews busy but the skiers and boarders will be rejoicing,” says Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.

She explains that multiple lows crossing the BC Interior will keep the snow accumulating through the weekend.

Saturday will see a couple to a few centimetres of snow, but moderate snow with upwards of 5 to 10cm is possible for Sunday.

High elevations will see even greater accumulations.

“Get out your extra layers – Arctic air will be a major influence after the weekend and our temperatures will drop down well into the minus double digits starting Sunday night.”
