Long weekend travellers using a trio of southern BC highways are being warned to prepare for some snowy conditions.

Alongside Friday’s special weather statement for the Okanagan Connector, Environment Canada has issued a similar statement for Paulson Summit and Kootenay Pass on Hwy 3.
The route between Creston and Christina Lake is expected to see two to 10 centimetres of snow this long weekend.
The weather agency has also issued a snowfall warning for the Allison Pass between Hope and Princeton.
“A cold front moving through the interior of British Columbia will begin to drop temperatures this afternoon,” reads the warning from Environment Canada.
“Rapid cooling over the Interior combined with moisture from an upper-lower moving through Washington will bring 10 – 20 cm of snow for the Allison Pass.”
The snowfall warning is in effect for tonight and Sunday morning.
