A fire at a Prince George home last night caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage and left the owner injured.
Firefighters responded to the blaze, at the Trailer Village Mobile Home Park on Bunce Road, at 9:17 pm on Sunday night.
Despite their best efforts, the home sustained damage to the kitchen and roof area.
Smoke damage was also evident throughout the home, Assistant Chief Pears said.
In all, firefighters estimated that $25,000 of damage was done to the home.
The owner, meanwhile, suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated by paramedics.
Assistant Chief Pears sought to remind people not to leave their cooking unattended at any time.
