Motorists may notice minor delays as the Cherry Blossom Triathlon gets underway on May 1.

To safely accommodate participants, there will be single-lane closures in effect from 5 a.m. until 1 p.m. for northbound traffic on Gordon Dr. The closure will be from old Meadows Rd to Casorso Rd. Eastbound traffic on Carsorso Rd from Gordon Dr to Swamp Rd will also be closed, as well as the right turn lane on Dehart to Gordon Dr.

Motorists can also expect delays from 7:55 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the intersection of Lexington Dr. and Gordon Dr. and at the intersection of Lequime Rd and Gordon Dr. Traffic control personnel and RCMP will be visible to direct traffic. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.

A portion of the parking lot in front of H20 Adventure and Fitness Centre will be closed to accommodate the transition area and finish line.
