For George Munro and his wife Rowena Inyallie, their lives will never be the same.
While picking up some cranberry juice and a chocolate bar at Courtesy Corner Market in Merritt, Munro bought a Lotto Max ticket as well.
His ticket matched all seven numbers in the Lotto Max Draw held on Friday, Feb. 22, winning the couple a life-changing $25.9-million jackpot.

“This win comes at a perfect time as I was just thinking there’s no way I can do my job for another 20 years,” said George. “It’s really physically demanding. I’ve let work know I can stay on until they find a replacement.”
Inyallie says she’s still in shock and is “still waiting to wake up.”
“Best six dollars we ever spent,” she said.
The province’s newest multi-millionaires have already spent a miniscule amount of their new fortune on a new Ford F350 for Munro.
A new Ford Mustang will soon be on the way for Inyallie.
They plan on buying a few more toys, fixing up their house and helping out friends and family.
“We will have a big barbecue with family,” added George. “We also run a baseball team at home so I think brand new jerseys are in store for everyone.”
Maybe the team will get some new gloves and bats as well, and surely the beers at the ballpark will be on Munro and Inyallie this summer!
