  • McDonald’s brings National Hiring Day to Kelowna

McDonald’s will once again conduct its National Hiring Day and this year they hope to fill empty positions in Kelowna.

The sixth annual hiring day will take place on April 6 across the country, with the restaurant chain hoping to fill a record setting 7,000 positions nationwide. More than 800 potential positions are available in British Columbia and the Yukon, including 35 jobs in Kelowna.

"We're proud to provide youth across the province with world-class training that sets them up for success," said Shelly Hansen, Regional Vice President, Western Region. "National Hiring Day is not only a way for McDonald's to recruit new talent, it's an opportunity for us to begin the careers of young people."

With 198 restaurants in British Columbia and two in the Yukon, the company will be hiring employees all over the country.

"We're proud to serve and employ members of our community," said Kelowna Franchisee, Tim Pink. "We're excited to open our doors to even more applicants looking to start their new job."

National Hiring Day is a chance for job seekers to learn about McDonald's culture, apply for a position, and potentially be interviewed on the spot. Crew, management, and new hospitality and customer service roles are available for the taking.
