Three times the music with none of the noise complaints sounds like the recipe for a good party.
But how do you keep a party rocking and the neighbours happy?
Silent headphones are a phenomenon that has quickly taken over the world and now Kelowna resident Dee Kostek is ready to bring them to the Okanagan.
“My partner and myself are huge advocates of fun and have always been in the business of fun,” said Kostek. “When we first came across the concept of silent headphones we instantly connected with how they infuse fun and music into an environment where it may not have been appropriate before.”
The ability to throw a dance party with only a small percentage of the regular noise is a major selling point, however, the flexibility of hosting any event with three different channels of entertainment is also a huge draw.
“Obviously silent headphones are great for parties, but the technology is applicable to so many different types of events,” explained Kostek.
“Silent headphones are used for multilingual conferences with an English, Spanish and French channel. Watching movies outdoors in silence is great and anything fitness related like yoga, zumba or even meditation are all improved with the headphones.”
The headphones themselves can travel over 500 metres or three stories from their transmitter and they change colour to indicate which channel everyone is listening to.
“It’s great to look across the party and see what groove everyone is into,” said Kostek. “A person’s headphones can be on the green channel and you look over and realize they’re really rocking out, so you decide to switch channels.”
