  • Live it Now: Sunday List

Hello Friends! Whether you invite Christmas Day into your world or not, it is a date on the calendar when the westernized world typically ‘closes’ for the day. Signs hung on business doors, on the average if you need a stick of butter it might be tricky find. I remember as a child Sundays were like that… Pretty much everything was closed. It was a day of rest stemming back to religion… And on the seventh day, God rested. I have to admit I like the idea. One day… Just one day a week. No chores, no phones, no social media, no emails, no television, no work… Simply rest and regenerate.  What would that look like for you? Dive into that thought…Removing the pedicure, massage or need to book an Airbnb. Recharge without spending (remember everything is closed…it’s Sunday)! I know many of you would go for a hike in the hills… (reminder, we are in recovery mode here…not crush it mode). Would it be snuggles by a fire with a pet and a good book? A nap on the couch with a loved one, a time to write (a handwritten letter) to someone who’s world needs a little love… (please tell me that letter will be written to yourself… To me… from me) Saying all the wonderful YOU things that you bring to the spaces you walk through. May I so humbly suggest that you light a single candle… Make a shortlist of the things you would put on your Sunday top 10. Mine is so simple…

    1. Journal.

    2. Meditate.

    3. Nap with my pups.

    4. Walk by the river.

    5. LOOK into the eyes of my loves.

    6. Play our piano.

    7. Make tea for a friend.

    8. Luxurious bath (in my home).

    9. Write a letter to my cousin and brother.

    10.  Bake cookies.

All surrounded by my loves… On this side and the other. Feeling the joy of being unplugged, untethered from the chaos of every day. Is it possible to find this? Maybe not every Sunday… But what if we could do one or two of our top 10 list once a week? Without the need to Instagram it or text someone about it. The struggle is real for me, I am in work mode ALL the time as a small business owner. All I know for certain is I need to recharge… Find a way to regenerate. No boxing day or end of the year shopping for me. I don’t need or want more STUFF… I need more face time… With MYSELF! There it is… Thanks for talking that through with me (you all rock my world). I miss ME time. Ok… Committing right now. I will do one thing off my list every week for 10 weeks. It’ll have to be an honour system… No proof required 😉 Cheers to a healthy, happy, harmonious NEW YEAR! 2020!!! Wow! My wish for you all… May you feel loved, may you be well, may you be peace-FULL! Live it … Love it… It’s your life, friends! It’s waiting… LIVE IT NOW!
