Blue Rodeo is set to take the stage at Victoria’s Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (SOFMC) this week.

On Nov. 24, 2022, the alt-country rockers and Canadian Music Hall of Famers will bring their 16th studio album to life live for Island fans. 

 
Many A Mile, released in December, is Blue Rodeo’s first album in over five years. 

Blue Rodeo “discovered that even nightmares like the pandemic can have silver linings.”  

The downtime from lockdowns gave the band a creativity boom, and also meant that recording had to be done in novel ways.

Blue Rodeo co-singer/songwriters Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor worked separately, while sharing band members — bassist Bazil Donovan, drummer Glenn Milchem, keyboardist Michael Boguski, guitarist Colin Cripps and multi-instrumentalist Jim Bowskill — on a rotating basis.

Fans will get to hear the results in songs like Symmetry of Starlight, with its angelic harmonies, to the twangy, seriously rollicking singles When You Were Wild and I Owe It to Myself.
