A park in Lake Country has undergone a facelift thanks to a provincial grant worth $35,000.
Pioneer Park received the upgrades and a new playground thanks to the funding announced in April 2015. With work finally completed, the park can now be enjoyed by residents.

“The Infrastructure Services staff worked together to deliver an outstanding playground for families in Oyama,” said Mayor James Baker. “The location at the south end of Kalamalka Lake is beautiful and now the park is more animated for use by families with young children.”
One-time grants provide needed short-term support for projects and activities that help various groups in the community.
