A Lake Country author is celebrating after her romance novel was published.

Blossom Turner’s book, Anna’s Secret, was released on May 1 and has already attracted impressive reviews.

Set in the Okanagan Valley, the book is about a devout Christian woman left suddenly lonely by her husband’s death.

In a “moment of weakness and passion”, she becomes pregnant by a handsome doctor.

But when everyone she knows believes the baby to be her late husband’s, she is thrown into a dilemma – live the lie and continue her old life, or tell the truth and begin a new life with the doctor.

“Blossom believes in writing for the entertainment value but admits that if enjoyment is the only take away, she would be most disappointed,” a release about Anna’s Secret explains.

“Her book was written to provoke thought and action on how to deal with human failure and find power in the gift of forgiveness. All tied up in a love story and a happy ending of course.”

The book is available on Amazon, at the Indigo in Orchard Park, and at Mosaic Books downtown.

Blossom will be signing books this Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kennedy’s Parable Book Store in Kelowna.
