Lake Country Art Gallery is looking for art submissions for a new intergenerational art exhibit.

From May 19-21, artists of all ages can submit pieces to the gallery that were created through collaboration between different generations.

‘Art Through the Ages’ was inspired by the work of the i2i Intergenerational Society of Canada, welcoming children, youth and adults to the art world.

Artists are asked to submit 2D works on paper, canvas, board, wood, and more. Sculptures will also be accepted.

Submitted artwork must be created through collaboration between two or more people of different ages. This could include parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, siblings and more.

Along with the artwork, artists must submit a written statement, no longer than one page in length. It should introduce the artists and describe what the participating artists learned by working with someone from another generation.

The exhibit will run from May 25 to June 25.
