The Wonder Woman sequel is starting to build its cast and according to Deadline Hollywood, Kristen Wiig is being discussed for the villain role opposite Gal Gadot.
Warner Bros and DC are discussing Wiig for the role of Cheetah, up against the fearless Diana Prince.
According to IMDb, the role was initially offered to Emma Stone, but she declined.
So far, the comedian and former SNL cast member has yet to comment on the sequel but was apparently Patty Jenkins' first choice.
Jenkins will return to write, direct and produce the film for a nice eight-figure sum.
Last year, Wonder Woman grossed $821 million worldwide, making the sequel a top priority for Warner Bros.
The sequel is expected to hit theatres in November 2019.
Known for her roles in Bridesmaids, Ghost Busters and The Martian, Wonder Woman 2 would be Wiig's first appearance in a comic-book film.
Filming is expected to take place at Warner Bros studios in England, and is set in the 1980s with the conflict of the Cold War as the main plot.
