Fans of the action franchise, Charlie's Angels, will be excited to hear that the film's making a comeback. An online buzz has started around Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong'o being eyed for two of the three roles.
Variety announced that the news on Friday.

Over the last few years, Stewart, has starred in smaller, indie-based films, including Still Alice, The Clouds of Sils Marla, American Ultra, and Personal Shopper.
However, her roles in Snow White & The Huntsman and Twilight weren't that long ago, proving she's got the chops for the mainstream, action-based blockbuster hits.

Directed by Pitch Perfect star, Elizabeth Banks, the film is expected to be released in the summer of 2019.
Meanwhile, Nyong'o has starred in mainly epic films including, 12 Years a Slave, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Jungle Book and more.
Apart from mentioning Stewart and possibly Nyong'o, Sony is eyeing several other big names and has not made any final decisions.

Charlie's Angels started out as a TV show in 1976 starring, Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith.
The show ran for five seasons with 110 episodes.

In 2000, it became a major motion picture and all heads turned to watch, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu strut their stuff and fight crime. The film grossed more than $200 million.
Whether or not Bill Murray will be asked to return for the role of Bosley, remains unknown.
