Families and nature lovers gathered at Mission Creek Park today to celebrate the return of the Kokanee salmon to our streams at the annual Kikinee Salmon Festival.

An event that has been a long-lasting tradition in our community, the festival boasted tons of family-friendly activities along with educational displays.

In addition to all of the activities, attendees could also cross the greenway to try and catch a sight of the salmon in the stream or, check out the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue’s underwater camera.
