Kelowna welcomed home two local Olympians this afternoon at Stuart Park and celebrated their accomplishments at PyeongChang.

Kelsey Serwa, ski cross athlete, and Tess Critchlow, snowboard cross athlete, both joined Mayor Colin Basran for a question and answer session. The athletes also signed some posters for residents who attended the celebration.

This past Sunday, Serwa also attended a celebratory event at Big White Ski Resort, where she grew up. Serwa skied to a first-place finish in the women’s ski cross event at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, bringing back an Olympic gold to Kelowna.

Critchlow finished in the top 10 in snowboard cross, being the only Canadian to make the semi-finals in the event.
