A Kelowna volleyball team has come home from a Vancouver competition with bronze after pulling off a series of impressive performances.
The T2 Volleyball Club’s U15 Crew 1 girls did their coaches proud at the Provincial Championships at the weekend.

In their pool, the girls won two matches and lost one – to the eventual champions BCO Black.
They then beat a team from Volleytech in Penticton.

In the Saturday play-offs, the girls played Vancouver’s Thunder White – who topped their pool – and won.
A tight semi-final against Ducks Brian Elite followed, with the Kelowna girls taking the first set.
But, unfortunately, the intensity proved too great for the Okanagan team and the Ducks won in three sets.

In the bronze medal game, however, the girls made amends by beating Thunder Blue 25-15 and 25-12 to win third place.
Coaches Rob Steciuk and Paul Berisoff praised the girls for their efforts.
Middle Blocker Steffi Drasdo, meanwhile, was awarded an all-star honour for her 25 kills, five blocks and passing.
