Pawsitive Veterinary Care is raising funds to help provide treatment for a female pitbull that was struck by a vehicle on Gordon Drive in January.
After receiving emergency care, Misty was brought to Pawsitive Veterinary Care, who is now hoping to raise $2,500 to cover the costs of her recovery.

“She is on a treatment plan to help with her mobility and needs one more surgery to fix broken teeth sustained during the accident,” said a spokesperson from Pawsitive Veterinary Care.
The owner rescued Misty from a “not great situation” shortly before the incident, and has since fallen into hardship and is unable to afford the pitbull’s treatment.
“We just want to see Misty being able to get the care she needs to recover,” the spokesperson added.
Misty was struck by a vehicle after someone let her out the front door when the owner wasn’t there.
While the dog was admitted to Pawsitive Veterinary Care on Jan. 31, she is now back with her owner.
