Kelownaians are ecstatic as rain has begun to fall in different areas of the city.

Not only have we seen some light showers but the rumbles of thunder and cracks of lightning have also made appearances.

Some may be excited for the light show in the sky but now is the time to be extra cautious and on the look out for new fires.

Though it’s not looking like we will need our rain coats at this very moment, you may want to put them and your rubber boots on standby as Saturday brings with it a 40% chance of showers.

It seems fall is ready to roll in with this light downpour, however Mr. Sun will be back later this weekend and early next week.
