The beautiful city of Kelowna has made it the 10 most popular summer vacation rental spots in Canada list, but who are we up against?

The number one holiday getaway spot is… Toronto.

According to Trip Advisor, Toronto – which is Canada’s largest city – is a multi-cultural destination with diverse neighbourhoods, die-hard sports fan and a fantastic local food scene.

The number two holiday getaway spot is… Vancouver.

The western city has been featured for its quirky neighbourhoods, silver-screen-worthy scenery and the diverse range of restaurants, bars and food trucks.

The number three holiday spot in Canada is… Montreal.

It’s a collision of old school tradition and new school flare.

The number four holiday getaway is… Tobermory.

It’s a city in Ontario that is four hours north of Toronto. Tobermory is known for its turquoise water and rocky coastline. It has also been deemed the freshwater scuba capital of the world!

The number five holiday spot in the country is… Whistler.

We all know why Whistler has made the list. It’s the perfect spot for hiking, biking, eating, skiing and pretty much anything else you’d want to do.

The number six holiday spot is… Sauble Beach.

The beach is located in Ontario and it’s known for its clean, quiet beaches and scene views.

The number seven most popular summer vacation spot is… Kelowna.

Trip Advisor says Kelowna is suitable for families but the city also have a lot of adventurous outdoor activities like Myra Canyon. The holiday booking website goes on to talk about Hot Sands Beach, City Park and the copious amount of wine in the Okanagan Valley. Yum!

The number eight holiday getaway spot is… Wasaga Beach.

No surprise here, it’s another Ontario location! The 8.5 miles of shoreline would catch anyone’s attention, especially since there’s also hiking, fishing and home to some of the most beautiful Ontario sunsets.

The number nine best holiday getaway is…Canmore.

Surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, this town in Alberta is the perfect “Canadian” holiday. During the summer visitors can explore the natural landscape by hiking, fishing, mountain biking and rock climbing. During the winter there’s enough winter sports to keep anyone busy.

The number ten best holiday spot in Canada is… Niagara Falls.

These beautiful falls is one of the biggest tourist attractions in north America. Trip Advisor suggests hopping on the Maid of the Mist cruise to get up close and personal with the running water.
