The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce has decided to postpone its annual general meeting due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

It was meant to be held on Wednesday at the Coast Capri Hotel. 

The Chamber said it would be rearranged “when feasible.”

“We’re following the recommendations of the provincial and federal health authorities around social gatherings and, as well, those of the BC and the Canadian Chamber,” said Dan Rogers, executive director of the Chamber. 

“We’re staying in communication with our members, sponsors and speakers around these issues, and on business continuity. We’re providing updates to all our members, particularly as it pertains to services from the Chamber, on a regular basis.” 

President-elect Jeffrey Robinson will take on the role of acting president as of March 18. 

The Chamber added that it is reviewing all events between now and May.
