The Kamloops Classics Swim Club was in the River City last week, and they were impressing everybody at the 27th Annual MJB Law Invitational Swim Meet! 

After hosting 14 clubs and 365 swimmers from BC and Alberta for three days of action, Kamloops won the meet by taking home 97 total medals. Of the 97, 39 were gold, 29 were silver, and 29 were bronze. 

In addition to winning the meet, the Classics would also set 19 new club records.

Shale Maurice and Sienna Angove led the way for the female swimmers, winning a combined 16 gold medals. Maurice would set club records in the 10 and Under 50-free and 50-fly while Angove set eight new club records in the 11 and 12 girls. 

Sarah Koopman competed in the 15 and over girls where she won four gold medals while setting three club records. She was followed by Haley Rowden and Keanna Smart who each won a pair of golds. 

Diego Paz was the only boy to earn a gold medal over the weekend. He set club records in the 1500-free, the 200-metre, and the 400-metre Individual Medley.
