Veep star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, revealed that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer.
On Thursday morning, she tweeted a message out to fans stating:
"1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one."
She continued by acknowledging how fortunate she is to have a supportive group of family and friends, as well as good health insurance.
"The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality," she concluded.

On September 17th, Louis-Dreyfus won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award at this year's Emmys.
On September 6th, 2017, Louis-Dreyfus told Hollywood Reporter that 2018 would be the seventh and final season of Veep.
"It became clear that this season should be the last season," told Louis-Dreyfus to Hollywood Reporter. "We don't want to repeat ourselves or wear out our welcome. The story has a finality to it that feels end-of-series."
Shortly after she sent out her diagnosis tweet on Thursday, Rita Wilson and Christina Applegate tweeted back their support.
