Athletes from across B.C., Alberta and even as far as Australia come to participate in the event and enjoy all that the Okanagan has to offer.

The athletes range in age from 9 to 24 years and can participate in a wide variety of events from hurdles to the discus throw.

For some participants, this event acts as a practice meet before they head to nationals in the upcoming weeks. KelownaNow caught up with a few of members of the Okanagan Athletics Club to learn more about this long-standing Kelowna event to hear how they feel about it.

The event will be taking place throughout the long weekend starting at 8 a.m. every morning. If you’re looking for something to do this long weekend, go cheer on our Okanagan athletes!
