Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My husband because our lives are both so busy and we don't always get to connect. I treasure our time together.
What is your favourite local store in Prince George and why?
Madison Ave Fashions because she always has great clothes. A real find!!
Describe yourself in one word.
Strong-willed.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
The coast to see the Orcas – I love nature and haven't even been to whale watch.
What is your favourite activity in Prince George?
Hiking.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
That's likely a memory that's been long suppressed.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
Watching my son learn and grow. It's taught me that mistakes are necessary for us to develop and reach our potential.
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
Camping with my family along the coast on our way down to Disneyland. It was a wonderful adventure and we got to see so many different things! It wasn't rushed or anything – and that's what made it so special.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I donate to local groups and charities whenever I can. It's so important to help everyone in our community!
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Racism. Aren't we all human?
Where would you sneak away to in Prince George to spend some time alone?
Probably one of our beautiful parks, to sit under a tree and knit
Where would you like to see positive change in Prince George and why?
I would love to see increased transit options to enable those who rely on this service to be able to get wherever they need at convenient times
What do you think makes Prince George great?
The small town feel and the people.
What are 3 things on your bucket list?
To do a cross Canada trip

I love metal music and have been to loads of concerts.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Darling Deviance.
Why did you get into/start this business?
I started this business because I wanted to teach and share my love of knitting.
What is the goal of your business?
To help in the revival of knitting and crochet so that it doesn't become a lost art.
What has been your biggest struggle either in work or life?
Learning patience. It definitely is a virtue!
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
The same way because if I did things differently, I wouldn't turn out to be the same person.
What do you always find yourself saying?
Sweet!

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
The Dahli Lama.
Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
The more money you spend locally, the more stays in the community. Kids get jobs.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Opening my shop!
