January 9th, 2065 – the day I would turn 75 years old.
What are you passionate about?
This might sound cliche, but I am passionate about people! I am passionate about my husband, my son, my friends and those that I have met in the community through my job. I love meeting different people and appreciating the beauty of how unique every individual is!
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Again cliche… but definitely the day my son came into this world… it was a very surreal experience!
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
I would have to say, getting through the first year of motherhood! Babies are amazing, but they definitely change everything about your life!
Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
Water Front Wines – The best food I have ever tasted in my entire life! And the atmosphere is perfect.
What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
Skating at Stuart Park ice rink in the winter. I love that it is such a fun date or activity to do with friends, and it's free!

What does your business/organization do?
I re-design and make original items of clothing from both recycled and new materials.

To make people feel unique and beautiful in the one-of-a-kind pieces I enjoy making.
If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
To enjoy every day I do it!
Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
To be honest, I would love if it didn't change one bit. I love the small minded mentality of what Love It Again is, and I would enjoy keeping it that way.
Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
Nooks Designs here in Kelowna has been a total inspiration to me in this field of designing and selling.

How does your business/organization impact the community?
By recycling clothing I hope that I am helping the environment by lessening the waste production. And I hope my business encourages others to find new life in things that would easily be discarded.
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Let's see… maybe Economics? That sounds incredibly boring, but honestly it's something I wish I understood more! Especially in light of owning my own business! I'd love to pick their brains about business planning in light of the market, and supply and demand ideas.
If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
I would change the location of the Kelowna Farmers' Market! We need a more permanent set-up than a parking lot.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Again it all comes down to the people! I enjoy this community because of the amazing people I have met and the relationships that have been formed.

Some general comments I would like to share are:
I am a mother, a wife, a friend and someone who loves to find the beauty in old worn out items… I love to create, re-create and re-purpose. The Love It Again process is simple—I take unloved clothing and fabrics and love them again. I take old clothing and make it new again by re-designing & re-conditioning the clothing so that you can “Love It Again” I wouldn't say Love It Again defines who I am, I'm a lot more than what I do. Rather I hope that who I am is what defines Love It Again. It is simply a tool to remind people that they are lovely, even if they feel old and worn and maybe even sometimes forgotten… I love seeing people walk away with something that is as one of a kind as they are… something that they can wear as a reminder that they have their own unique creativity and beauty that makes them different than everyone else. And maybe it is that item that can give them a little more confidence to let their own originality shine.
