Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
Kelowna born and raised.
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My boyfriend Jake. He is my best friend, the easiest to be around and the calm to my storm for sure!
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
Sprout Bakery – I love to get a soy latte and some monkey bread!
Describe yourself in one word.
Logical.
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
St.Thomas, Virgin Islands. We went there on a cruise two years ago and I still dream of those crystal blue waters. The people are amazing, we went shortly after Hurricane Harvey I believe and their resilience to just pick up and move on after something so devastating was amazing to see.
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
I love an escape room. Xperience Kelowna probably has my favourite ones to do
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I'm easily embarrassed so there are many many moments.

Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
I had to share a room for most of my childhood.The day I got my own room was a game changer for me.
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I donate items to the Rutland Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store so that the money goes back into our community and someone can get some cool stuff
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Littering! Something that really grinds my gears is when someone throws their garbage on the ground or leaves their coffee cups on a shelf in a store, it is so rude!
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Home or a nice spa day!
Where would you like to see a positive change in Kelowna and why?
The homeless situation. I think people need to realize that the people on the streets are people too. Their addictions are a disease that they need help with, life may have handed them a bad hand and some people feel safer on the streets than in their own homes. Shuffling people around like cattle and saying they deserve to be there is horrible and says a lot about you as a person rather than them. You wouldn't want someone you love on the the street being treated the way some people treat the homeless in this town. They need the basic necessities as much as people who are lucky to have roofs over their heads.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
Everything is so close! You can get almost anywhere in town within 20 minutes.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Nixon Hospitality – BNA Brewing, Skinny Dukes and Public Liquor
Why did you get into this business?
I joined Nixon Hospitality in my last year of college, I started out counting cash outs from servers and end of day cash for Public Liquor. They kept me on when I graduated and then I received the amazing opportunity to step in the position of Controller

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
Balance.
If you could start all over again, would you do things the same or would things be different?
Most likely not, hind sight is 20/20 but the decisions I have made have made me the person that I am and I am okay with that!
What do you always find yourself saying?
Oh, for sure!
Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Holding in hate for someone only hurts you not them, let it go- that negative energy will make you sick!
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?

Why do you think it is important to shop locally?
You are stimulating the local economy, you are allowing local business to expand and you are helping them feed their families and many others.
