What do you always find yourself saying?
Although its cliché, I try to remind myself and others that 'happiness is a choice.'
If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
If I could spend a whole day with anyone I would spend it with one of the boys from One Direction to see what all of the fuss is about. Possibly Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber. Any popstar, really.
If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
I can’t really think of any award I would want to win, but I’ve always thought getting a key to a city was a pretty cool thing.
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Wow. What a tough question. That’s a lot of people to think about. I guess as someone with a minor in philosophy I think I would love to spend time with one of the first philosophers. Maybe Socrates or Plato.
Who inspires you?
My parents inspire me to work hard every day.
What are three things on your bucket list?
I don’t have a bucket list. Just trying to get things done day-to-day.
If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
The Naughty Yachty. I wouldn’t actually name it that, but I think that’s a pretty funny name to answer this question with.
If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
Probably a big sporting event so I can bet my house on it and get some money, a la Back to the Future II.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my job, my friends, family, and life in general.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
I can’t recall a specific day that has been a favourite but I’m sure it was spent hanging out and talking about nonsense with my friends.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
Nothing really comes to mind. Sorry.
Where is your favourite place to dine in Kamloops? What do you like about it?
So far, I’ve only been to Taco Del Mar, Starbucks, and a Vietnamese restaurant called Lemongrass Restaurant, so probably the latter.
What is your favourite activity or event in Kamloops? Why?
Being here for just about a month now I haven’t done much or attended many events yet. I am looking forward to attending local music and comedy shows, going hiking, learning how to ski and doing some fishing!

What is your mission?
My mission for my career is to be a trusted and efficient source of news for the people of Kamloops and area.
If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
I would like to be known as a good, fair, and trustworthy journalist.
Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
The landscape of news can be completely different in five years. I hope that we continue to be a good product that people can trust and rely on.
Who do you consider to be a forerunner within your field?
As a fan of MMA, I look up to people who are laying the down the foundation for MMA reporting like Ariel Helwani from mmafighting.com.
What three qualities do you feel that your business/organization exemplifies?
Caring, hardworking, and accurate.
How does your business/organization impact the community?
For people in the community that want to know what is going on, we are a good starting point.
If I could change one thing about Kamloops, it would be:

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
I enjoy the view of the mountains, the Thompson River, and the people have been very kind so far!
