Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kelowna?
I am originally from Calgary and have lived in Kelowna for seven years
Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
Ryan, my boyfriend and best friend. He encourages me to live outside my comfort zone in all the positive ways and supports me in all aspects. That and he makes me laugh and is an amazing cook!
If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Bali, because I’ve always wanted to visit and could use some sunshine and relaxation.
What is your favourite local store in Kelowna and why?
El Taquero- Best. Tacos. Ever.
What is your favourite activity?
Anything outside. Especially skiing, running, hiking, and walking.
If you had to choose: pizza, tacos, or burgers?
Oh man this is tough, but I’ll say tacos! Especially because it’s Taco Tuesday as I answer this!
What is a hidden gem you enjoy in the Okanagan?
Can’t think of just one… there are too many!
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I fell off a treadmill in a hotel and when I went to the front desk to ask for medical care they were ready and waiting… they had seen the whole thing on video surveillance.
What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I can’t narrow it to one either- I find inspiration in any form of entrepreneur who is following their dream, cause it’s not always pretty!
Tell us your favourite childhood memory.
We used to come here every summer at stay at Casa Loma Resort. Every memory from that is filled with laughter and sunshine!
Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have a business on the side that’s partnered with Food Banks Canada, we help feed kids in our local market place.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
No more violence.
What is your favourite activity in Kelowna?
Running along the boardwalk.
Where would you sneak away to in Kelowna to spend some time alone?
Anywhere on a run.
Where would you like to see positive change in Kelowna and why?
I wish it could rain more in the spring so we could have a higher chance of avoiding the fires… does that count?

I can’t sleep when it’s light out, I need an eye mask.

Wedding planning resource centre and café that is free to couples planning. We help you find your venue, vendors and every little detail.

Why did you get into/start this business?
We saw a need for people to use year round, free and comfortable environment. A trusted guiding voice who knows the industry and the people involved.
What is the goal of your business?
To help couples plan their wedding stress-free.
If you could start all over again would you do things the same or would things be different?
Majority the same, we try to keep on trend and listen to what our customers want, so continue to bend and flex with their requests.
Why do you think it is important to shop local?
When you support local you’re helping support a local family. It’s that simple.
Give someone that you think deserves it a shout out and explain why!
All wedding vendors- they give up every weekend in the best time of year in the Okanagan to give the brides/grooms the perfect day!
